What
is it?
Developed by Tom
Bowen in Australia, this therapy has been used extensively in Australia, New
Zealand, Canada and the USA to help thousands.
The Bowen
Technique consists of a series of precise moves on specific parts of the body
using the thumb and fingers. There are frequent and important pauses between
each series of moves, giving the body time to benefit from each.
There is no
manipulation involved and the treatment results in a general feeling of well
being. But that is only the beginning ...
The body's
natural healing responses are triggered and improvement is usually experienced
within a few days, if not immediately.
Two to three
treatments, usually at weekly intervals are often sufficient, each treatment
lasting 30 - 45 minutes
This gentle
procedure can be used on everyone from the newly born to the aged.
It is
particularly effective for:
-
Stress and tension-based
disorders
-
Musculo-skeletal symptoms like
frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, back pain
-
Sports injuries
-
Arthritis and M.E.
-
Hayfever, Asthma and Migraine
-
Infertility and pregnancy
related disorders
You don't have
to be unwell to benefit from a Bowen Treatment. It is an ideal way to help the
body function at an optimum state of health and efficiency.
